This week was very busy for all of the Tiger Cheer squads as they were working hard on the fields to cheer on their teams. We appreciate all the hard work the girls do to put game night together and make it a success, no matter what level they cheer for in our program! It was Neon Night at the Varsity game - and a well-fought game throughout, with surprise guest appearances by the members of our band who graciously took it upon themselves to travel to UA and play for the crowd. Just another example of how our students always shine!

What an exciting night to be a TIGER! We are so proud of our representation on the field on Friday night as we hosted Groveport for our homecoming festivities. Everyone has been working hard on their cheers and dances! As always, it showed that its always great to be a Tiger and that TIGER SPIRIT is unstoppable! Thank you to everyone who made our night such a big success! Also thank you to coaches, Tigers Rock, and Varsity Views for photos of this week's events! The girls are doing a great job - homecoming was wonderful and we were well represented by each and every athlete. We hope you are enjoying your season. A few housekeeping items:
The SPIRIT CLUB will be having a meeting on September 26th at 7 pm at PHSC in the Big Study Hall. Please plan to attend. We have enough volunteers for concessions for the game on the 24th! We still need volunteers for the JV games 10/8 and 10/22. If you can volunteer, please let Coach Holt know. We have been granted permission to run the 50/50 raffle for the night of the Pickerington North game! This will be a very easy fundraiser for our group and help get some money into our spirit club account! More information will be coming for volunteers. Transportation rules are as follows: Cheer athletes are to ride the bus to and from the assigned games on their schedules. We are building a team mentality at PHSC and that includes riding to and from as a team to be a part of the full game experience. If there is an extenuating circumstance, paperwork must be completed and filed with the athletic department a week ahead of the game for which the child will not be traveling with us. A reasonable extenuating circumstance must be present, and this is not to be done every time there is an away game. Thank you again for all the support and the hard work your children are putting in this season. It certainly showed on Friday night on the track when all of them were quite a force of cheer and spirit! Although our entire team was not able to be at the bonfire this evening, a good time was had by all who attended! Thanks to all who participated and congratulations to this year's homecoming court! Lots of fun was had as we welcomed North Clarkson to Tiger Stadium for Football Friday Night. Our sign this week was very special and truly patriotic. Even in the heat, Tigers still had the power to get the win! PLEASE NOTE: If you see a photo with the Varsity Views logo at the bottom, please go to the Varsity Views page ( www.varsityviews.com) and consider buying the photo. I would also encourage ALL parents to go to www.scottolmsteadphotography.com and take a look at the beautiful prints he has taken for the football team this season - there are many of the girls on there that are very nice and available for purchase through his website. These moments are things that many of you will want to save and the field photographers get great photos of our kids! Central and Ridgeview Tigers took over the town today as we collectively marched with the PHSC band and Tiger football players. Many thanks to all those who participated in this community event! It was a special night at Tiger Stadium as we celebrated our home opener against Independence by honoring our seniors. We also paid special tribute to a senior gone to the class of 2017, but absolutely not forgotten, Branden Mosely. With our students decked out in green to pay tribute to the young man whom we lost to cancer, everyone took time this week to pay tribute in their own way to their classmate on what would have been his senior night as well. As always, Tigers showed community spirit and support in numbers while playing their way to a win. Special thanks to Tigers Rock, parents, and Varsity Views for picture contributions. |
